Starscream was giving his newly reformatted body a real work out after leaving Swindle’s ship. He was rather appreciative of the arms dealer’s idea to change his appearance and in the process gave himself a new alias when people got curious. His tetrajet form was both the same yet similar to his original design, but nevertheless there were enough differences one wouldn’t be able to decipher his true nature.
Though he had better hopes for a fresh start, Starscream had other plans first. He had calibrated his energy scanners to pick up on the unique signature given off by dark energon, too curious to know if the substance was truly gone. And already he was being proven wrong as his sensors picked up on a highly concentrated but small source somewhere near what had once been the primary base of the Decepticons. Now, Dark Mount stood as a decrepit, abandoned stain against the surface of Polyhex that no one seemed to be bothered with.
Quite creepy really.
Heading down towards a landing platform, the seeker transformed and landed, his taller, streamlined frame straightening as he did. Already his warning system was picking up on potential dangers, logging them carefully in his processor as he drew one of his broadswords, the faint purple glow almost like a beacon against the steel gray backdrop. “I wouldn’t think they would be so wise to keep that putrid substance stowed away here.” He muttered to himself as he moved across the platform walkway and into an open area, seemingly damaged from the physical traces of the war.
Already stepping inside the temperature was blistering, no doubt from the smelting pools that still resided there near its base. With a lack of a cooling system, or lack of a functional one, it was a wonder anyone would take the risk in keeping something so volatile. His steps echoed within the halls of the fortress, wings twitching on occasion and feeling like his entire ventilation was suffocating from the dirt, dust, and sweltering heat. ‘Just make this quick, log it and come back with the proper equipment to move it.’ He told himself as he walked, the scanner gradually flashing more and more as he got closer to the source with each step, carefully pausing from time to time when reaching a new hall.
At last, his search brought him to a rather open, spacious room that could easily fit a small armada. And his warning systems were silently alerting him to danger ahead, causing the seeker to have his sword up and at the ready in one hand, pale pink optics glancing from the projected holoscreen to the room several times and his steps becoming lighter and more cautious. Slowly stepping into the throne room, his optics immediately began to scan for signs of the danger, the scanner audibly beeping as he was nearly right on top of the dark energon source, unprepared for the encounter he was about to have.
