“She must’ve met you on one of her late night walks then,” The minicon then turned to Amura with an amused smile. “A bar? I never took you for a party animal Amura!”
Amura abruptly shot up at the light teasing, already preparing for her own jest only for the medic to push her back down. Muttering a small apology to the unamused medic (who only muttered something unintelligible in response) she turned to the two of them.
“There’s a lot you don’t know about me Wheeler!” She joked back smiling underneath her visor. Even though he couldn’t see her face-plate Wheeler knew she was smiling. The medic finished up her peds and gave them one last look over. Everything else was just minor scratches and injuries, nothing the little fembot couldn’t handle. Amura nodded in agreeable with Nines’ words. She would not have survived had it not been for Nines, had she been alone she would’ve been buried under a pile of rubble by now. “Teamwork makes the dream work as the humans say.”
Forced? Amura furrowed her optic ridges at the thought. Having lived such a peaceful existence it was easy for her to forget the atrocities of war, or even the atrocities of daily life. She counted herself as lucky that she was never subject to anything particularly unpleasant at the hands of other in her life. It was easy for her to forget that not everyone had the luxury of being taken care of, Hell, she had been taken care of a majority of her life.
“You won’t have to worry about that here Nines. Dent is a pretty good medic, he’s taken care of me most of my younglinghood.” Amura reassured him as she sat up in the medical berth as the medic examined her claws for cracks in need of welding. “You’re safe here, trust me! I’ve been here all my life.”
“I can’t thank you enough Nines,” Wheeler said honestly. Had something actually happened to his sister, well, he shuttered to think about it. “If you ever need anything just know our doors are open to you.”
The medic glanced at Nines a gave a small sigh. “You sure you don’t want my aid sir?” The medic asked gruffly.
