Airwatcher continued to observe the mole prod its way around his cupped servos, watching it with intent green optics.
“Hundreds of feet?” He repeated, as he studied the claws upon the small beast. It seemed almost impossible something so small could achieve so much. Perhaps that was one reason Amura was so powerful. She didn’t let society or streamline thoughts impact her outlooks. Then again she tended to avoid the public altogether.
“It won’t?” Airwatcher watched with slight dismay at as the mole tested his food, but ultimately turned it down. “So it eats worms. Like the tiny little long squirming grubs in the dirt?” he eyed the mole, “Interesting diet you got there buddy.” He allowed Amura the animal back, as she granted it the blessing of freedom. He stared as it bored through the earth, quite possibly never to be seen by him again. What a strange existence it lead. Airwatcher’s engine remained an almost silent hum as he listened to her quietly, his engine softening as she leaned upon him.
“I’m surprised your memory banks can recall so far back with such clarity.” Airwatcher inhaled slowly, and his door-wings rattled a little. He could imagine the young Amura encountering the small mole with more clarity now. It didn’t seem as unrealistic all of the sudden. He still didn’t write understand how she’d wound up on Earth though. It seemed they were both in the dark. Could be something along the lines of what you’re keeping in your closet. The war did a lot—some things are too good to be true. She’s high tech and if she doesn’t have clear memory that can mean a number of things. She has enough strength and power to-
“The universe holds a lot of mysteries. I’ve heard of plenty of creators sending their sparking to different planets to keep them out of the war. Or scientists trying to make the perfect lifeform, or trying to cure a flaw in our race through that particular life-form.” Airwatcher offered, “Maybe you are, maybe you’re not. Maybe we’ll discover those details if the opportunity rears its head. Either way, you’ll still be Amura just with a little more story.” Airwatcher used on of his servos to gesture to the sky. “I guess what I’m trying to say is don’t be afraid of where you came from, just know who you’ve decided to be. You probably already know that…but I thought I’d tell you. Because…“ Airwatcher paused for a moment, noticing that his servo was millimeters from clasping around hers.
“…It never hurts to be reminded.” He lifted the servo to wring his wrist, as if he were rotating out a glitch. “Pardon my servo here, I there seems to be some misinterpretations between it and my processor.” Possibly my spark too. “Speaking of, I actually remember the first time I met the twins. It was definitely a multi-faceted moment like your time with the mole. I’d love to tell you it if you’d like.”
