The past month or so had been interesting. Beta certainly could say she no longer found peace uneventful as of late, not with everything presently going on around Cybertron and Earth. For years there had been little problems other than the underlying dark underbelly of peace, but other than that there had been no major skirmishes, conflicts, or the like. At least nothing a little punishment and getting her enforcers back in line couldn’t fix.
Now, it seemed things were well beyond that point as of late.
Beta found herself drawn to Kaon, activity having once again increased in terms of conflicts and rumored recruitment. The green femme never thought she would be dealing with this sort of thing all over again, finding herself at the central enforcer headquarters of the district to take over the investigation personally. It was extremely late, almost early morning by this point that she had been working on the case. A hollow screen projected across two holographic rods, several photos brought up with notes next to them, lists written down, and connections made across each. Beta had them categorized, working out targets, suspects, and connections, narrowing down the evidence she had and piecing together a rather convoluted situation, one that wasn’t quite going well smoothly. There were pieces missing, that much she could find and no answers to how to get to them.
“Grrrr, two days of pouring over the evidence and still nothing.” The green femme stepped back with a frustrated vent, leaning against the table she had several data pads and human newspapers spread out across. Her bright blue optics were furrowed into a frown, ignoring the tiredness that tugged at her. She could only sigh once more, tilting her head back as she clasped her hands behind her head, optics closing as she appeared to stare at the ceiling. What was she missing? But so caught up in her own thoughts Beta failed to notice she was no longer alone.
