It wasn’t often Slice was able to have a moment to herself since rejoining the Decepticons. Not that it was a choice she was eager to take up, but for the sake of survival and seeking her kidnapped team she had taken a risk to walk down this road again. It just was painstakingly difficult to get away from Dark Mount often, the most often boiling hot areas taking a toll on her form that was full of thick feathers.
So, she had chosen to come to Earth for a few days.
Everything had been going quite smoothly. The forest was shaded and cool, devoid of much other than the occasional human or animal trekking about, except her raptor form as usual sent the little flesh creatures packing. She’s pretty sure one even soiled themselves at the mere sight of her. But each time she had left them alone, the ex-soldier just having been satisfied to merely enjoy the nature trails. Compared to her brethren, she didn’t mind this organic planet or how different it was, feeling more at home in these surroundings that reminded her of her adoptive home. Such a thought only brought an ache to her spark, causing her to pause in a patch where the sun broke through the leaves, turning her gaze towards the sky as she thought of Thrashclaw, Gnash, and Shred.
It had been weeks since they had been abducted, and she had been no closer to finding them. Were they still alive? Could they just not get her Morse code? There were so many questions plaguing Slice’s mind, the sniper only able to sigh before she continued on her trek.
Her military days felt like a cake walk now compared to everything going on by this point. A part of her regretted leaving the primitive world they had come to call home, feeling she could have done something to help her team. Part of her wondered if the launch of the single-rider ship had drawn the strange beings to the now blown apart planet. “Maybe I’m just not close enough for Shred to hear her little tricks she taught us.” The raptor brooded, mind wandering for a moment before a faint sound made her freeze.
She listened closely, hearing more subtle, faint sounds. Was someone tailing her? Old instincts kicking in, Slice transformed as she whipped around, drawing her trench knife which was the first weapon she could reach in such a short time as she turned to see who was following her.
