The blast shook with such intensity that the mech lost his footing as the warehouse quickly went up in flames, green smoke filling the room as the mech gathered his bearing. Lazerbeak was still outside, thanks to the little drone’s surveillance he could see that the femme had gotten the humans out after all. Now all he had to do was get himself. The mech’s engine sputtered as he coughed. Better close my vents. There’s no way this Synth-en smoke can be good for me. The mech took slow, somewhat pained steps to the door, or rather lack of door. Hearing the Autobot call his name he perked up in relief, she didn’t sound injured. Though a certain sense of surprise washed over him. The Autobot sounded concerned, perhaps even worried. No, impossible.
The faceless mech emerged from the green smoke, his slender form at it full height, his helm held high despite the blast. Though his wings did carry a a few wounds, most notably a singed mark on his side from the blast. On instinct Lazerbeak swooped down from the sky and landed on the docking port on his chassis with a click. A quick scan of the femme revealed that she was unharmed, and a quick scan of the humans revealed the same. Thought he did take notice to their health state.
Were you worried about me little femme? Soundwave asked in his mind as he crossed his arms and cocked his head in an almost teasing way. No one beside Megatron had ever shown genuine concern toward him. It was a new, but not unpleasant, thing to experience.
Despite no injuries it was obvious they had not been given proper care. Many seemed malnourished, gaunt, even skeletal-like. Whether that was the effects of Synth-en on humans or a lack of proper eating habits he wasn’t sure. Perhaps it was both.
“The authorities will no doubt be here soon, especially after all that commotion.” He relayed quietly. “I trust we can leave the the humans with Autobot law enforcement?” Soundwave glanced to the humans. His internal scanner were already picking up some enforcer radio chatter about checking out the blast.
“We should leave before they get here. Besides we have much to discuss in terms on information. What I found on the main console was disheartening to say the least.” He then turned back to the femme. “I know a quant oil house not far from here. It’s quite empty for the most part, it would be a good place to sift through out intel.”
