A lithe magenta shape raced through the mountainous area of Crown City, somewhat beyond the forested area that became less dense. As beautiful and serene as the forest was during the evening, this was hardly the individual’s destination. Rather, it was just part of their journey towards their true destination: the highest peaks of the mountains.
Maxima’s blazing blue optics flowed in the shadows cast by the trees, weaving in and out of the forest with practiced ease. Her cyber wolf form granted her such mobility on the ground to get around better than her robot or vehicle form could. And more so to enjoy the organic scenery of Earth she had become rather enchanted with. And it was quite a rare moment for her to make such a trip, especially with her duties to both her orphanage, her students, and the High Council. In fact, she had decided to make the trek alone while her minicons remained to keep an optic on the orphanage due to recent events.
Her ears perked forward as she came to a crossroads, one path worn down by the many humans and animals that took it and one off the beaten path that warned of a steep climb. But, it was exactly where she needed to be, veering off the normal path and clawing her way up the steep rocky slope, spotting the rail-less observatory spot, spark pounding with excitement with each passing moment. That night promised a full moon, something of which was rising over the opposite peaks, casting a soft, faint glow across the trees and the city in the distance, nearing its apex as she got to the top.
“Just about time...” She told herself, landing on a large boulder, carefully balancing herself as she turned her gaze to the sky. Her optics shimmered with excitement, tail involuntarily wagging in anticipation as the moon finally rose to be fully visible to all to see. Without hesitation, the magneta and gray femme threw her head back to let out a howl which had an almost melodic pitch to it and singing the wolf’s song to the moon, unaware of her unexpected audience.
