No matter how busy he was, Dylan always made time for the Bots.
Knock Out may not have been the closest in the Prime family’s inner circle but he’d been around him for a while now. Especially back in his reckless days of street racing - and knowing him a while he was still kind of surprised. First he’d been told Bradley Simmons wanted to be taken back into foster care under him...
And now they were working toward Brad’s adoption.
He knew this was one of the reasons he started the program but it still stunned him. How much must this kid have changed the medic? He knew he had heard great things from the Autobots about the two and how Brad seemed to be thriving, healthier, and happier but still.
He also knew something was up...
The fact Knock Out had called so directly to have them sit down for a formal chat made him wonder what he was in for. Though a part of him had a sinking suspicion he already knew. A lot of Autobots came to him for advice with their kids if they knew him well. They all knew his own story after all.
But Brad had a rich and influential family. He knew his aunt was a snake - the world did. But just how bad had it gotten for this kid? He knew they had a meeting planned together in a few days so if there was a danger. He guessed he’d find out - thankfully now having the power to nip it in the bud.
Once he’d entered HQ and found Knock Out, however, he was sure to give his biggest friendly grin. Easy enough given in a place surrounded by Autobots he didn’t need secret service flanking him. “Hey Knock Out, been a while,” his voice was cheerful as he tucked some stuff he already had on Brad under his arm of course in a file. Just in case. “I was really excited to get the adoption request paperwork honestly. There have been a lot of good words put in for you and I’ve been reading Brad’s a great kid. So, early congrats I guess?”
After a moment he got a little more serious though. Knowing full well what he may be in for he gave a more subdued smile - but tried to remain positive.
“Uh did you want to do this here in the lobby or go upstairs or something...? I don’t exactly know how private this needs to be.”
He also didn’t know if Brad was nearby and didn’t want to put him in any uncomfortable situations.
