Dark Mount looked in better shape than Slice would have anticipated. After so many years of war, decay, and lack of maintenance she would have expected the citadel to be crumbling by now. Or at least resemble a haunted castle of some kind she had seen on the human cyber networks. Instead, it looked almost untouched by time, restored as a beacon of either death or new hope, depending on who you asked it appeared.
Why was she there? Why had she bothered with such a supposed to be derelict place?
Who knew. She had just found herself being carried there by her own two feet after using the Lightspeed to get to Cybertron after meeting the human Brad. She hadn’t felt like staying in a mostly Autobot-filled area. Brad’s demeanor the first half of their talk had given her more than enough vibes to know when to get out of dodge. So, she had come to Cybertron, prowling along the cities until she had reached the citadel. Thanks to her intriguing tech however, her signal wasn’t caught by their scanners which would have alerted the Decepticons and perhaps Autobots within to her presence. Instead, it was motion sensors that often caught her activity but she had disappeared by the time anyone had checked the area.
If the fact she was tripping the motion sensors didn’t give it away, so too had she left behind the remains of petro rats scurrying around, filling her tank the past few days until she slowly poked and prodded the structure. And, her best efforts seemed to be by the smelting pools. She recalled early on in her service to the cause entrances around the base of those pools to rid of scrap, junk, and prisoners of which she had made her way to. Transforming briefly, Slice drew her rifle, firing an explosive round into the old, rusted control pad to cause the door to the elevator to open. “That should do it.” Stowing her rifle on her back once more, Slice reverted back to her organic-like raptor mode and stepped into the elevator, pressing a button for the lowest available level that led into the fortress, unwillingly knowing she had more than finally revealed her presence.
