The night was oddly still and quiet in the streets of downtown Koan, sans the few younglings playing in the mostly empty street. Their laughter ringing throw the air as they played street cube. Large apartment complexes stood by the sidewalks, casting long shadows over the street though the younglings paid no mind. An odd looking femme walked down the road. Her misty green optics watched the children with a certain gentle happiness. How good was it to see children playing in the streets again, especially after the recent attack on the console building. Her pointy audials perked as a few of the younglings waved her way, and with a soft smile she waved back.
“Do stay out of trouble you four!” She called out playfully earning a chorus of giggles from the young mechs. The tendrils on her helms winded and coiled around her shoulders, their soft hissing sounds dancing around her helm. Her arms clutched her groceries a bit tighter as her home finally came into view. Finally, home sweet home.
It was a quaint little thing, a two story shop, the first floor being the shop and the second being her small yet cozy apartment. It was small, smushed between a paint parlor and a humble energon cafe. Above the door was a sigh that read: “Fortunes & Luck” and another sign below that reading: “and treats” in gold hand painted cursive. Upon entering the small building and brushing passed the colorful decorative beads the femme placed the bags down in the center of her shop. At the center was a circular tables with a delicate crystal ball perched on top of it. The ball was useless, only for show to wow any patrons as she did her work. The walls were decorated with various exotic treasures. The finest silks hung on the walls, dark purple, red and blue colors. With soft carpeting on the floors to match, especially her beloved Egyptian rug, it’s elegant gold trim peaking out just underneath the table.
D’Vorah turned her helm to the back door of her shop, one that would lead her to the kitchen. Perhaps she should bake her next batch of treats now? Grabbing the bags she headed to the backrooms to begin her work.I must decorate this kitchen, it’s far to normal compared to everything else. Just as she slipped her famous energon cookies into the oven the femme paused. Closing the oven door she stepped back into her shop once more and smiled.
“Ah, I’ve been expecting you.”
